While this cream was quite nice it didn't really help with the dry skin on my face. It did soothe the red patches though, which I am happy about. Went on ok, but didn't soak in and it left a greasy layer on my face.
So today I'm back to the drawing board.
I went into my local chemist about a different cream to try but they didn't have any. They do have a range I have decided to try though. The Lady gave me a few testers so I'll be using this in the next few days. It's a fortifying and soothing 24 hour Hydrating Care cream from the Vichy range. Apparently it's available on prescription in other countries but not here. I will have a go and report back :)

New face moisturiser trial.
I popped into Lush today and spoke to a very lovely and helpful young lady. I asked her about Dream Cream but she said it wasn't really to be used on your face. She recommended that I try a cream called Celestial and gave me a sample pot to try out.
This is what it says on the Lush website about it-
Heavenly moisturiser to make sensitive skin happy. Although it's true that some perfumes can irritate sensitive skin, like stronger spice oils, others are really good for preventing redness and reactions. Natural vanilla absolute is one of them. We use it in Celestial for its soothing effect and intoxicating scent. The dove orchid is used in Chinese herbalism to prevent inflammation; it is the only orchid with a delicate and delightful scent. Almond milk is also wonderful for calming the skin. So, there's really no need to use an odourless skin cream when you can happily wear Celestial.
I have used this cream for the first time tonight. The texture and smell is really nice but it hasn't really soaked into my skin. We shall see how my skin is in the morning *fingers crossed*

Nearly March already!!
I've been slack on the old blogging but I'm going to try and get back into it again.
So, what's been happening?
Social life is a lot better and I think I've been out nearly every Friday since the beginning of the year.
Love life- The less said about that the better...
Work- Still doing volunteer work one day a week and quite like it. I'd love to find a paid job with good hours but they're as rare as the elusive Mr Right.
Diet and exercise- I gave in and bought a wii so have been using the wii fit up to 4 times a week with a friend. We have done a few Davina dvds as well and been out jogging a couple of times. Food wise, I just love food too much. I'm good for a while then think stuff it. My weight has been up and down by only 3-4lbs and I'm not 'overweight'. My reason for losing weight is to feel better in myself. I don't feel any different to be honest and although that's very frustrating sometimes, it's also a way of accepting myself for what I am. I've been a lot lighter and still not been happy with myself. I don't think people like me for how thin I am or not. Perhaps if I could get some clothes that actually fit me properly and flatter me that would help a lot to feeling better? I really don't know...
Skin- not having a good time with it right now. The products that have been working are now reacting with my skin. So I'm on the hunt for new stuff to try. Right now No7 seems to be ok *fingers crossed*. I've heard a lot of good things about Lush Dream Cream, so I'm going to get some of that this week to try. If anyone has any recs for problem skin please let me know.
On a happy note, my friends cat had three healthy kittens a couple of weeks ago. I was there to witness the birth! They are so cute and I am extremely tempted to have one. One step closer the the crazy cat woman status ;)

So this is 2011?
Hey all *waves*. I hope you had a lovely Christmas and New Year. Mine? Not as bad as I thought it would be actually. I have been dying with flu but I think I'm coming out of the other side now.
What does 2011 have install for me? Nothing unless I get my lazy butt into gear and actually do something!
Today I have removed all things Christmassy and am starting to get myself back in the game.
For the last few months, probably more, I haven't really done much. Mainly concentrating on my diet and exercising, even that didn't come to much. Now is the time to REALLY start the ball rolling.
Things I would like to have in 2011
1- A job. Part-time to start with but a proper,paid job.
2- A new house. I say new but I just want to move and rent somewhere better than I am now. I want a bigger place, with a nice garden and proper storage.
3- A social life. Even if I go out just once a week to the movies or something. I've spent far too long cooped up in this house and I'm officially fed up with it. For many years I suffered with depression and have hidden myself away. I know it's not good for me.
I think that'll do for now. I'd still love to meet my own Mr Right, get married and have babies but I need to focus more on reality and things I can do for myself. Who knows what the future holds anyway?
So that's me :)
